What Is The Vitality Of Your Timing Belt?

You know that several parts of your vehicle are important, but do you understand the importance of the timing belt? This belt makes it possible to coordinate the operations of the camshaft and the crankshaft. Those two components allow valves to operate as they are supposed to in order for air and gas to be allowed in and out of the engine at just the right intervals.

There is a certain system to all of this, and it matters that the timing belt works just right to get it all timed out perfectly. Missing out on the timing on this can mean that one does not get the pattern of the system synced up correctly, and that can take away from the way that the vehicle operates.

Check in with your mechanic regularly to make sure that the timing belt is looking good. They will generally recommend it be changed about once every 100,000 miles.
